The risk of indulged in drinking water
According to an old belief, drinking 8 glasses of water is been recommended per day but researchers have challenged this belief and said eight glasses is not suited criterion to each person and drinking too much water can expose people to the risk of water intoxication and Hyponater.
Researchers at Monash University in Victoria, Australia found a mechanism in humans body adjust the drinking consume and has stopped the action of drinking too much fluids. Because as their say and based on their findings drinking too much water can cause to water intoxication or Hyponater.
Hyponater disease occurs in condition that critical level of sodium in the blood is reduced abnormally. This situation could potentially lead to symptoms such as lethargy, nausea and convulsions and even causes to coma.
The study of researchers has been shown that an area of "containment swallow" is activated after taking too much fluid in the brain, which helps to maintain a certain volume of water in the body: "If we just do what our body ask us, and instead of following the advice based on fluid intake, drink only when thirsty, we probably have done something more appropriate".
Michael Farrell, the associate professor at Monash University, said this statement, and explained that his colleagues and he asked participants in a study to rank their required amount of water after effort and work based on two conditions: during exercise that makes them thirsty, and shortly after they drank plenty water.
As the report of Salamat Online, the results of this study indicated three times increase in activities and efforts after drinking too much water. In addition, the research team using by a special imaging (fMRI) found that the front parts of the right side of brain showed more activity in the time of participants' trying in the struggle for drinking too much.
